Friday Fill In Fun

1. The cooler weather, smell of fire in fireplaces, and pumpkin pie are some of the things I'm most looking forward to in October.

2. Sometimes I like to get in the car and drive with no destination in mind.

3. I once said I would never ride on an upside down roller coaster, and yet I did, and that's why there is a saying, "never say never"! (But I won't do it again if I can help it!)

4. When I'm down, I cheer myself up by listening to my favorite songs, reading a good book, or playing with the animals. They can always make me smile.

5. On a sailboat on the Pacific is where you'll find me most often (okay, so not really).

6. A rainy day is good for cuddling on the couch with the dog and cats and spending the day reading.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to watching the U.S. Presidential debate while enjoying a little pizza and lemonade, tomorrow my plans include driving into Los Angeles to see the 9 to 5 musical and Sunday, I want to catch up on some much needed reading and pretend Monday isn't coming so soon!

  2. Wendy, I used to hate rainy days, but now I love them. It's a good excuse to go nowhere all day and curl up with a book, my kids, the dog and enjoy feeling cozy and dry and warm.

  3. I am so jealous that you are seeing 9 to 5! Lucky!

My mom and my daughter are going to see Mamma Mia! in Las Vegas this week. I am so jealous of them too!

I saw Wicked with my mom and daughter in LA. It was the best thing I ever saw!

  5. Too bad no one can afford to just get in the car and drive these days. :(

Bailey and Jiro always make me smile too, especially Jiro, he's such a silly boy! They always make me feel better too. :)

  9. Hi Wendy! I love your answer to #4. I'd've done the same too. :)

Speaking of pumpkin, I had pumpkin dessert (yummy!) just two days ago with my hubby at a buffet dinner. We celebrated my 31st birthday.

  10. Oh, pumpkin pie! I forgot about pumpkin pie. I LOVE pumpkin pie!

I'm seeing "9 to 5" on Tuesday night with a blogging friend. I'll be interested in trading impressions with you later!

The debate last night was interesting viewing.

    Have a great weekend, Wendy!

  11. Looks like this group likes pumpkin pie. Me too! I can't wait to have my first piece. And I do so hope we get some fall weather in the very very near future. I like the smell of fireplaces while I walk in the evening, and of course sitting by them and reading is wonderful. Ah ... Fall.

  12. Yasmin - It's such a cozy smell, isn't it?

Shana - Growing up, my mom always took me brother and I out for walks in the rain. I've always had an affinity for them. I do hate having to drive in the rain though--and I always feel sad when I have to be at work on a rainy day instead of at home curled up with a book.

Jennifer - I hope your mom and daughter enjoy Momma Mia! It's a great production. My husband and I saw it in Las Vegas the last time we were there. I wish you could have gone too!

Wicked is awesome, isn't it? I love that musical.

Janet - A person can dream, right? ;-)

Jo - It can be so relaxing.

Jen - Oh, I don't know about that. The end of September means no more birthday celebration for me. ;-) I tend to take over the entire month of September for my birthday. Haha

Kathy - True--at least not without a destination in mind. :-(

Karen - Thank you so much! And such a nice comment! I'm honored, Karen. Thank you. I hope you are enjoying your weekend too.

Nat - I wish I could have a slice right now. :-) Anya's making me laugh out loud a lot lately with her antics. She's such a ham.

Trish - Weekends are always too short.

Alice - It's a sure way to cheer up! Oh, Happy Birthday, Alice. I'm so behind in checking blogs.

Florinda - My mom makes the best pumpkin pie. :-) I look forward to reading your thoughts on 9 to 5. :-) I'm so glad you are going too! I hope you enjoy your weekend too.

Terri - Would you believe my husband doesn't like pumpkin pie? The nerve! Haha!

  13. I swore for a long time I would never go on a roller-coaster. Scared of them. My husband finally convinced me, and then I didn't want to stop! The biggest ones still are too intimidating, but now I like the thrill, even upside-downs and twisty ones.

  14. We are still in the upper 80's here so fall doesn't feel real yet. Let us know about the 9 to 5 production!

  15. I love all your answers. In fact it's raining here and I'm going to sit with a book and read all day!

  16. I like # 1, 4, 5, 6.

You'll find me laying on my favorite French beach (La Mala) a book in hand (ok, I can dream to :P)

Have a very nice sunday my friend

  17. Jeane - I don't mind the fast roller coasters as I do like speed. I just can't stand the drops. :-S

Jenclair - It's been warm here too. I am looking forward to the cooler weather.

Linda - I sure wouldn't mind a little rain here right now!

Sylvie - Laying on a French beach sounds heavenly!
