My Furry Threesome

Riley ~ The First Born

Parker ~ The Middle Child

Anya ~ The Newest Addition

Anya came to live with us earlier this week and has been taking up much of my attention and time (when I'm not doling out attention to the other two so they don't feel left out). She is 6 weeks old and weighs 1.4 lbs.

Anya's favorite activities include napping on my chest, running from shoulder to shoulder and playing with my ears, attacking Anjin's feet, and chasing after her canine brother. I am going to try and teach her to read one of these days.

  2. Your furbabies are so cute! Especially Anya. Kittens are the cutest animals on earth and she is one of the cuter ones!

  3. I think I've figured out why Parker is unhappy these days...he'd rather have a cat magazine next to his bed to read instead of BARK magazine! LOL. These photos are so cute!

  4. Well, I guess you did have a good excuse for not visiting blogs this week :-)! Greetings to the new addition to the family - she's very cute!

  5. Anya is precious!! I would love love love to get another kitty, but hubby doesn't like cats and says my cat is one too many. Although--when I was digging through some paperwork the other day I found a letter hubby wrote me years ago when I graduated college (Maggie-the cat and I lived with him for six months before I finished school and moved to Dallas) and he wrote in the letter that he wanted me to tell Maggie that she is the only cat he has ever loved and that she is *his* cat too. We had forgotten all about that--hubby wasn't too excited that I found the letter. :)

  9. OMG she's a cutie! I want another kitten, but it will not happen so long as we have the current animals. We are overrun as it is.

  10. Aww! Congrats for the new addition. It looks like her ears are half her weight.

  11. What a bunch of cuties you have! The first photo of Anya makes her look like Yoda :-)

  12. What a group of sweethearts! Give them all a pat from me. Anya is a cutie, but she also looks like she could get in to all kinds of trouble ...

  14. Hi Wendy :)

I finally get to meet Riley, Oh he has a lot of JR in him I would say at least 1/2. What a beautiful dog.
    And the kitties, cute :))))

A nice week-end to all of you

  15. Parker looks like a morose thinker. Maybe Anya can cheer him up a bit? :)

  16. Congrats on the new addition to the family. They're all lovely but Anya is simply adorable. I love that last photo! :)

  17. Oh, what adorableness! So sweet! Congrats!

  18. Oh my, Anya is absolutely adorable! If she's only 1.4 lbs at 6 weeks, I have to wonder how much my two foster kitties weighed when I got them at about 3 weeks. She is just precious! The other furbabies are very cute too. :)

  20. Sam - She is adorable. And right now she's attacking my feet! Ouch! She's quite playful. I'm trying to wear her down before we go to bed tonight.

Meghan - Thank you! I think Anya was the cutest of the litter--but don't tell the other kitties that. ;-)

Wendy - Yes, that may be it. :-) As much as he loves his big brother, Riley, I am sure he'd rather read a cat magazine.

Florinda - She's just so fun to watch and play with. I admit that I've let a lot of things slide just to watch her.

Trish - My husband is a cat person through and through. I actually wouldn't have minded getting another dog, but my husband is very adamant that one is enough (he wasn't really sure he wanted another kitty, to be honest). He does love our Riley though--most of the time. :-)

Jen - Aren't they though? They can pull me out of a bad mood and make any so so day become a pleasant one.

Jeane - My dog likes to sleep that too. :-) One of my friends actually thought of the name and it stuck. :-)

    Joy - Thank you!

Amy - It should be a crime to be that cute.

Lisa - This is our last one for a very long while. We have our hands full now with the three, I think.

Nikki - Thank you! She does have good sized ears, doesn't she? Her feet are really big too, but my husband keeps telling me not to say that too loud or I'll give her a complex.

KmKat - She does look a bit like Yoda in that first photo! Haha

Bridget - They very much appreciated your pats. Thank you. I have a feeling Anya will live up to her namesake and will be quite a handful.

Laura - She won't have a choice in my household. LOL

Sylvie - I thought so too when I saw Oliver for the first time. :-) Riley's such a good boy. Most of the time.

Danielle - Too cute for her own good, I think! :-)

Matt - Parker sure looks it, doesn't he? He really is a sweet cat, very affectionate. I worry that Anya will be too much for him later on, but for now, she's definitely got everyone dancing on their toes.

Nat - Thank you! Anya just settled in to nap by my feet. Must mean it's time for me to go to bed too.

Debi - Thank you! Hopefully she'll be happy with us.

    Suzi - That's what I said when I first saw her. :-)

Stephanie - I bet your foster kitties were so tiny! And I thought Anya was small. Parker is 9 lbs. and he seems so big in comparison to Anya.

Iliana - Thank you so much!

  23. Melody - Thank you!

Megan - Thanks! I think Anya is hiding under the bed right now, taking a little morning nap after getting me up extra early this morning. Going back to bed sure sounds like a good idea.

  24. How CUTE! While your other 2 pets look very nice and friendly, your new kitten is absolutely adorable! I want to go get a kitten of my own now (but I think my 3 year old cat wouldn't appreciate that very much)!

  25. Awww :D She couldn't possibly be more adorable.

So she gets along with Riley? All my cats took a couple of weeks to get used to the dogs. None of the dogs is hostile to cats in the least, but the cats took a while to become convinced of that.

  26. Laura - My sixish cat wasn't too sure what to think of the new kitten, but he seems to be coming around. I think he may be ready to forgive me for bringing her home and taking him to the vet all in the same week. Poor guy.

Nymeth - Riley's been really good with her. I was worried about him being a little too overly aggressive in play, but he's being a gentleman. Except when she tries to climb in bed with him. He is very protective of his space and doesn't like the cats to cuddle with him (unless he and Parker are play wrestling). He is willing to share his food though, which is a bit of a problem. I've had to put his food up when she's around.

  28. Marie - Thanks! It was all your talk of your cats that probably put me the mind that maybe adding a new kitty to the family might not be such a bad idea. :-)

  30. Ahhh, how cute! What a lovely family you have, lol! We have two new kitties in the house - one looks just like Parker. His name is Simba. The other is a smoky grey and named Chloe. They are about 3 months old. Hannah is having a blast with them and they are her babies, lol.

  31. Alice - Thank you!

April - You have lil' ones! Chloe and Simba sound so cute! I'm glad they have Hannah to take good care of them. :-)
