  3. Beautiful. I would really enjoy being there right now. Out on the highway in the southwest or great basin.

  6. Oh my gosh, what great pics. Last summer I was in the Four Corners area and the landscape looked a lot like that. Coming from MN, it was just so foreign!

  9. I love that last picture! I was born in Utah, but have only really been to the Northern part of the state where it is a little more mountainous. I REALLY want to go to Moab, which is really close to where my Grandmother is from and would love to go to Bryce Canyon and Arches NP, etc etc. Have you been to any of those places?

  10. When were you in my home state? I can tell these pictures were taken in southern Utah - spectacular, but dry and desolate. I can appreciate the beauty of the canyons, etc. but I really prefer green and cool.

  11. Thanks so much everyone! One of the great things about a road trip is being able to see all the gorgeous scenery.

Booklogged - These photos were taken about five years ago when my husband and I drove out to Colorado. I've been in the Northern part of the state as well, but that was over two decades ago. What I remember most about the North wasn't the trees though. It was the Salt Flats. :-)

Trish - We weren't in Utah long, I'm afraid. Enough to see some of the major parks from the road but that's about it. And we did spend the night in a beautiful little town where everyone was so friendly. I would love to explore Utah more. Our real stop that particular trip though was Colorado.
