Friday Fill In Fun

1. October has yet to see summer yield to autumn weather. It was 103F just the other day, for goodness' sake!
2. Dementors scare me!
3. Leaves are falling all around; it's time to break out the rake.
4. My favorite horror movie is An Inconvenient Truth because it is scary no matter how you look at it.
5. College study rooms = good memories.
6. It was a dark and stormy night and I was craving Coconut Almond Fudge Chip ice cream.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a visit to the doctor (okay, so not something I'm especially looking forward to), tomorrow my plans include recovering from said doctor's appointment and Sunday, I want to do more of the same!

Wouldn't it be grand to be in Hawaii again . . .

  1. oh yes...dementors are very scary! and now, thanks to you, I'm craving ice cream. haha!

  2. Beautiful pictures from Hawaii!

We may be getting a little autumn - maybe even some rain - this weekend, and it's about time.

Interesting perspective in your answer to #4. I suppose I really should watch that one of these days.

Hope all goes well at the doctor's today, Wendy, and have a great weekend!

  3. It would indeed be grand to be in Hawaii again, I'd have a spam musubi first thing!

Lovely shots, thanks for the memories :-)

    Dementors! *shiver*

  4. Lovely photos! I want to go.

THOUGHT it was a perfect autumn day here in Cambridge. Mid-60s, brilliant sun, light breeze, but then... (yes, a blatant tease to get you to my blog at )

  5. Beautiful pics. I wish we were still having as nice weather as you. Fall is definitely here with a bang.

    Yikes-Dementors-yup, scary.

Hope all goes well at the doc's.

  6. College study rooms = good memories? sheesh--not our study rooms! :) Hope you get to feeling better!!

  7. I'm mesmerized by that bottom photo, the clouds, a sort of fog in the distance over that gorgeous greenery.

It's turned chilly here in Connecticut, fall is descending. So now I have to dream of warm, tropical places...

  8. Gorgeous pictures Wendy.

I've never been to Hawaii but oh, how I want to. If only I could get there without getting on an airplane.

Good luck with the Dr. appointment. On a Friday night, ick. Hopefully you get lots of reading done while you recover!

  9. I have to admit, Hawaii would be nice right now...

Hope your doctor's appointment goes well!

  10. Jen - Wouldn't it though? I wish I was back there . . .

Shana - Thanks! I hope you do get to go to Hawaii someday. Maybe you can take a cruise! No planes involved. :-)

Karen - That's one of my favorite photos too. My husband took it while we were on the van headed for the North Shore. The city sprawl is of Kaneohe, where I lived all those many years ago.

Trish - Trish - The rooms themselves weren't all that attractive, admittedly. :-)

Dar - Thank you! I am actually glad to see the clouds hanging overhead today. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a little rain.

Clea - You should go! Take a little vacation, especially in the winter. :-) I saw your post--it's amazing how some people think. Scary, really.

Janet - Haha! I am glad I could oblige. :-)

Florinda - Thank you! I do hope it rains this weekend. The clouds are overhead and look threatening enough. Please, please, please rain!

I don't actually watch many horror movies and so don't have a favorite. I asked my husband for help with that answer and that's what he came up with. It was either that or Bambi. Maybe I should have gone with Bambi.

Kris - Dementors are very frightening! My response put me in the mood for ice cream too. :-)

  11. Dementors AND doctors scare me! I hope your appointment comes out splendidly.

  12. I hope everything went well at the doctor! Yes, I did like the way my hair turned out, but it took forever!

    Have a great weekend!

  13. Bellezza - You do make a good point there! Doctors and dementors can both be scary! :-)

Yvonne - Thank you. I am glad your hair turned out well! I think my hair appointments take longer each time I go. :-S

  14. Oh noooooo... now I want ice cream! I think I'll send hubby out to get McD's sundae for me. LOL.

Great photos of Hawaii. I want more! ahahaa

  15. That ice cream sounds fantastic!
I hope everything went ok at the doctor. I agree with Bellezza about doctors and dementors. Not a fan of either! ;)
Lovely photos of Hawaii. I would love to have a vacation right about now. Anywhere would be fine just some time off to do what I like.

  16. Alice - Hubby and I just got back from lunch out and we stopped for some ice cream for coming home. :-) Yummy!

Nat - I wish my story carried that flavor. :-( I agree with you--time off to do what I like would be very good right about now.

  17. I miss reading your blog, Wendy!
    The pictures are beautiful!! :)

  18. Melody - I miss seeing you around, but I do understand. You're busy with the new baby--just as you should be. :-)
