TGIF: Friday Fill-Ins

Questions courtesy of MindFul Mimi who had some thought- provoking ones this week; thank you, Mimi!

1. For me monotony is the opposite of creativity.

2. Broken For You by Stephanie Kallos was the last excellent book I read. (based on a look back of my last 5 star rating)

3. I like fill-ins because they are simple yet thought provoking and are a great way to sign off the work week.

4. In nature I like looking at all there is to see! I especially love being surrounded by trees near a mountain lake with little critters and deer wandering about.

5. The best candidate should win the US election.

6. The last time I laughed with all my belly was I was pretending to be Santa Claus.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to doing a little blog hopping and reading; tomorrow my plans include figuring out how to hook my laptop up to the printer; and Sunday, I want to laze around the house and read in typical Literary Feline fashion!

  1. Did I tell you I picked up a copy of Broken for You based on your recommendation? It's got plenty of company on the TBR shelves right now :-).

Have a great weekend, Wendy - I wish it were another three-day one!

  5. Monotony - very stifling. Good response.
A mountain lake, trees, wildlife ---- sounds like heaven.

Thanks, as always, for the visit. Glad you liked the beer ad :)

  7. Florinda - I just hope you like it at all. LOL I always get a nervous when someone decides to read a book on my say so.

I wish it was another three day weekend too. It might have been for me had I not switched my Fridays off. At least it was only a four day work week. I have another four day work week to look forward to next week. :-)

    Alice - I don't think I make a half bad Santa. :-)

April - I love the mountains. All but the snow, anyway. :-) I keep telling my husband we should rent a mountain cabin one summer and do nothing but explore and read.

Nat - Wouldn't it be so nice? I hope you have a nice weekend!

Julie - I went round and round with that first fill in, but monotony seemed to keep coming to the top of the list.

I do miss some parts of those family camping trips in the mountains from my childhood. This time I would prefer a nice bad, running water, and a warm place to retreat to at night . . . But everything else can stay the same. :-)

Trish - Sounds like a good plan! I may do some of that today too.

  9. CJ - And here I was just thinking how dull my weekends probably sound to others. :-) We ended up getting a wireless printer server. This way I can print no matter what room of the house I am in. Funny enough, I barely move the laptop from the computer room. I think I'm still too used to having a desktop.

  10. I visited the library today and got the first two Odd Thomas books by Dean Koontz...not sure if I'm liking it yet. Have you read this series?

Hope you're having fun this weekend!

  11. I haven't read Broken For You yet, and I know this is one of your favourite books!

I'm curious to see how you'd look like pretending to be Santa Claus though... ;) Hope you have a great weekend!
