January's TBR List Poll Winner

We have been home all weekend with a sick Mouse. Poor girl has a bad cold. I have a feeling she will be missing school tomorrow and a visit to the doctor may be order. Her fever hasn't gone down much. She's been sleeping mostly, hardly eating, and drinking when I remind her to. Hopefully she will be feeling better soon. And hopefully her dad and I do not get sick too. In the meantime, I thought you might like to know the results to this month's TBR List Poll!

Thank you for helping me decide what book from my TBR collection I should read next:

My TBR List is a meme hosted by the awesome Michelle at Because Reading. It’s a fun way to choose a book from your TBR pile to read. The 1st Sunday of every month, I will list 3 books I am considering reading and take a poll as to which you think I should read. I will read the winner that month, and my review will follow (unfortunately, not likely in the same month, but eventually--that's all I can promise).

I would have been happy with any of the three books up for this month's poll: Ilona Andrews' Magic Rises, Etched in Bone by Anne Bishop and The Mortal Word by Genevieve Cogman. All three are books I have been dying to read, and hope I will read soon. Next up though will definitely be The Mortal Word by Genevieve Cogman, which won this month's poll.

The Mortal Word (Invisible Library, #5) by Genevieve Cogman

Thank you to all who took the time to vote!

    1. Diane - Thank you, Diane. I hope so too. I was so sorry to hear about your granddaughter. The flu is no joke, especially these days. There was a four year old who died just a couple weeks ago in my county from the flu. It's just so sad.

    1. Eustacia - Thank you! She's eating more today, thankfully. If only I could convince her drinking is the best thing she can do . . .

    1. Jenclair - Thank you. She is feeling a bit better today. I took her in to see the doctor today, and she pretty much said what I expected. The fever was down some this morning and hopefully is on its way out.

  8. I hope Mouse feels better soon! My daughter got hit hard by an upper respiratory infection and double ear infection in early December. It was only the second time in her life where we had to hit up the doctor for an illness (the first was something similar). She was utterly miserable; I'd never seen her so bad. Crossing everything that the adults stay healthy too!!!

  10. How is this series on book 5?? I don't want to even think about how long that means the first book has been sitting on my shelf. Poor Mouse! Hopefully she'll kick this bug soon and get to feeling better - and hopefully without sharing her germs!

    1. Katherine - I wish I could ask my favorite series authors to slow down a bit to let me catch up. Thank you for the good well wishes for Mouse. I hope my husband and I avoid this too. This one was a nasty bug.
