Because I had that, I got rid of all of my individual books. Big mistake. I never have, you know, since I'm from a tropical climate. I guess the grass (or, in this case, the snow) is always greener on the other side of the fence, right? Hehe.

As for "Shelf Control", just a note: I've decided to participate with my other blog this week. That blog is titled MINDSPIRIT BOOK JOURNEYS. I don't have a copy of it, and so it's not a priority at this point. Mansfield Park tends to divide opinion but it's worth reading because you don't know if it's one you'll love - if you do, great, if you don't you've still read another Austen and have knowledge of it. Northanger Abbey, I think, is more general in that a lot more people like it, but then it is very different as you know. A lot of fun, not at all serious.

Because of the writing style, Northanger Abbey's a quick read so you could make it an additional current read without adding too much to your reading schedule.

Failing that, just go for Sanditon. It's very good even if it does end abruptly halfway through.Charlie (The Worm Hole)https://www.blogger.com/profile/00675899182238415718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31552114.post-50499327267935752802016-08-06T20:54:57.234-07:002016-08-06T20:54:57.234-07:00Maria - I am envious of your rain. I am not a fan of snow and the cold though. Hawaii would be nice. You commented on my "Waiting On Wednesday" post last week, for which I thank you, and I'm only returning the favor now. I do my best, though, to always comment back, as I feel it's the courteous and friendly thing to do! As you know, I also reply to comments on my blog. So you and I are on the same page! (Yes, pun intended, lol.)

As for this meme, I regret to say that I had meant to participate in it this week, but totally forgot! I'm SO used to Wednesdays being for the WOW meme, you see. Lol. But I will certainly remind myself to chime in next week!

Now that I have finished my lengthy preamble....on to the books you've picked! I have the very same books sitting patiently on my shelves, also unread! What a coincidence, right? Anyway....yes, I have these two, except that they're in one very nice, leather-bound volume. And of course I want to read them as much as you do. As for "Pride and Prejudice", I had the very same experience you did, except that I don't consider this novel one of my all-time favorites. That honor belongs to "Jane Eyre"!

I don't remember when I purchased the book, or where. That's one thing about this meme -- you also need to give this information, which is a great idea!

Okay, so next week, FOR SURE I'll be participating!! Thanks so much for sharing!! Hope you, Mouse, and your hubby are all having an AWESOME weekend! Hubby and I are ensconced in our comfy, cozy condo while it rains outside. And my books are all around me! Ahhhh, BLISS!!!
