There's nothing to say a good mystery cannot have both a great plot and well-developed characters.

Staci - I prefer to start at the beginning of the series myself, but it doesn't always work out that way. I always feel a little guilty when I'm not able to.

Danielle - This was the first I'd heard of this author too. I look forward to reading the first book in the series.

Alice - There are quite a few good series out there, aren't there? :-)

Linda - I hope you enjoy it if you read it!

Clea - I don't often follow publishers, but I'm quite smitten with Soho Crime. It could just be my current interest in crime fiction set overseas though. :-)Literary Felinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13079276242303738719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31552114.post-44373440666273057622010-03-15T22:39:02.567-07:002010-03-15T22:39:02.567-07:00Donna (Myckyee) - I have a couple of mystery serie...Donna (Myckyee) - I have a couple of mystery series set in Italy that I would like to read. I'm glad I was able to start with this one.

Kathy - I enjoyed spending time with Cenni. :-)

Sandy - I like multi-dimensional characters too. They are much more believable and therefore easier to relate to. Series are my downfall. I'm so behind on many of the ones I've started and want to continue. LOL

Anna - I look forward to your thoughts on this one when you get to it. And thanks for linking my review to the War Through Generations site. I don't mind. :-)

Aarti - Haha! There are quite a few series out there and new authors are adding to them every day. And think of all the ones we have yet to discover!

I am still discovering all the great historical mysteries out there. I can't get enough of them.

I'll definitely check out Bledsoe. Thank you for the heads up!

Dar - Yes, another series. LOL I haven't been reading as many as I used to.
