I find myself reading another book about cults called The Girls by Emma Cline. Have you heard of it? It is being published on June 14th. It takes place in the 60s. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/26893819-the-girlsBeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02706544792110129160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31552114.post-21301338433215968422016-03-01T11:03:56.892-08:002016-03-01T11:03:56.892-08:00Kay - Books like this are so important, I think. I don't read a lot of YA, but I've read enough to know that I tend to prefer the books that don't have that YA feel to them even if they carry that label. But that's just me. I think Williams' did a great job of bringing her subject matter to light in a way that is both compelling and approachable overall.Literary Felinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13079276242303738719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31552114.post-63888877199187673302016-03-01T10:59:28.984-08:002016-03-01T10:59:28.984-08:00Kelly - It wasn't even on my radar before it a...Kelly - It wasn't even on my radar before it arrived in my mailbox. It is a YA book, but the issues are very adult. I think it's good that Carol Lynch Williams presents this story in a way that is geared for younger readers, but can certainly be an important story for older fans as well. A good book to read with a teenage daughter and then talk about.
