Because books that are consistently fun and amusing but aren't *mind-blowing* still deserve accolades :-) And it's fun to point out deserving characters, instead of only the whole book, I think. I really enjoy doing it that way! I'm pretty sure I'll be busy with all the upcoming reading challenges, but Ms. Laurie and Ms. Viets might be great fillers when I need something light in between the heavier books. I got some great suggestions. I would like to recommend to you to read the book Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye by Victoria Laurie and the Dead-End Jobs by Elaine Viets.
