Friday Fill-Ins: The Weekend Ahead

1. Tonight I saw my friend's new car.
2. A catchy tune and strong beat make me wanna dance!
3. Splitting a few appetizers between friends sometimes is meal enough.
4. You are someone I'd like to get to know better.
5. The smell of flowers in bloom reminds me so much of springtime!
6. Not too long ago, I had an especially rough day. I came home from work and was greeted by my cat and dog, both of whom followed me around the house and made sure I knew they were here for me, and that made it all better.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a home cooked meal; tomorrow my plans include taking my dog for a long leisurely walk; and Sunday, I want to do a little organizing and announce the winners for my Buy a Friend a Book Week contest.

  1. Love #6. I miss having a cat for that very reason.

    Saints lost :(

  5. Hello! Your weekend sounds good. I do love how animal companions give when they know we need it. My dogs used to get on my lap if I was ever upset and wouldn't leave until I smiled or laughed! Have a great weekend!!

  6. Hi Wendy

Was number four for me?? C'mon you can tell me...

: ) Just checkin in on you to see how you're doing! I hope you're having a great weekend.

Oh, don't forget to check back and see if you won my contest!

    Hugs

  7. #6 had me nodding in agreement. Sure they frustrate me and give me more work to do, are naughty sometimes and always wake me up too early, but they make me laugh on a daily basis and never fail to make me feel better. :)

  8. You know, your answer to #6 is exactly why I absolutely hate my landlord for not allowing pets! It's amazing how pets can sense if something is wrong and if you need comfort. (I can't wait until my husband and I can buy a house just to have pets!!).

  9. Julie - I am so sorry the Saints lost. :-( I keep hoping they'll win!

My cat doing sprints around the house right now. Probably practicing for the next time the dog decides to chase him. :-)

Jaimie - Oo! I won? I won! Thank you so much, Jaimie!

J.C. - I hope you have a good weekend too. Animals really do make things better, don't they?

Florinda - I'm behind on my blog visits, but I will be over shortly to read your responses. :-)

I've got a dog chewing his little bone at my feet and the cat finally settled down and is settling down on the bed. I may have to join him for a little nap.

Dancin' Fool - They do have a way about them, don't they? Usually when I'm upset my two try to cheer me up with a little play time. LOL

Amy - Haha Of course it was! I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Tanabata - Yes, they can be frustrating at times, can't they? But then they do something so cute that it's hard to remember why we were so frustrated with them in the first place.

Tara - Mean landlord! I hope you are able to buy a house soon. The main reason I really wanted to move into a house was so I could have a dog. :-)
